Overview

Giv | IDD Community is a dynamic online platform designed to unite agency owners, DSPs, individuals with disabilities, and their families. Our mission is to create a vibrant space where agency owners can collaborate, DSPs can share experiences and offer advice, and individuals with disabilities and their families can connect with others facing similar challenges. We strive to build a supportive community where members can exchange best practices, learn from each other, and grow together. Whether at the state or national level, Giv offers a valuable platform to share insights, foster collaboration, and ultimately enhance the quality of care provided to clients.

Why this community exists

We created this community to give agency owners, DSPs, individuals, and their families a dedicated space to connect and support one another. We recognized the need for a community platform that brings together everyone in the IDD industry—regardless of role or background. Unable to find a solution that fully met these needs, we decided to create a space where people could connect, share experiences, and grow together in a free, easy-to-use environment. At Giv, our mission is to empower care, and we believe this community is an extension of that mission—connecting people and providing valuable resources to help them thrive, no matter their role in the industry.

What does it include?

Our community is designed to help you connect with others based on your role. Groups are organized by role, so you can engage with individuals who share similar experiences. For example, if you're a DSP, there's a dedicated group just for DSPs to connect and share.

As a member, you’ll also have access to valuable resources—including training materials, webinars, and industry updates.

Individuals with disabilities, their families, and friends have their own dedicated sections as well, providing a space to connect with others navigating similar experiences. Everything is accessible on your computer or through our mobile app (see the "Who is invited" section for access details).

Whether you're an agency owner, DSP, individual, family member, or friend, our community offers a place to find resources, build connections, and support each other in meaningful ways.

What does it cost?

Giv | IDD Community is completely free to join—there are no costs associated with membership or participating in groups. At this time, there are no additional membership tiers, so everything is available to you at no charge. We created this community to ensure that all members of the IDD industry have access to valuable resources and connections without any financial barriers.

Who is invited?

Anyone involved in the IDD industry is welcome to join! We have dedicated groups for all roles, allowing agency owners, DSPs, individuals, friends and families to connect with others in similar positions. Whether you’re looking to share experiences, offer advice, or simply connect with peers, our community is here to help you grow and thrive. We encourage you to join, engage, and be a part of this valuable network.

Joining is simple and quick! Just click here to get onto the waitlist. We are releasing the community this summer. Once released, head to the "Get Started" section, which will guide you through using the platform and joining the groups that are most relevant to you. To ensure a safe and supportive environment, there may be a brief approval process for group access, but our team will work swiftly to get you connected.
